A personal illustration project creating a conceptual book cover for Beth Reekles’ The Kissing Booth. The illustration focuses on the playful, youthful, and romantic themes of the story, using expressive character-based imagery and bright, decorative details to capture the energy of teenage romance and summer.
I explored composition, colour, and illustrated elements to create a cover that feels fun and visually engaging while reflecting the relationships and central themes of the novel. The artwork continues from the front cover onto the spine, allowing elements of the illustration to flow around the book and creating a cohesive design when displayed on a bookshelf.
