A personal illustration project exploring a conceptual cover design for Elsie Silver’s Chestnut Springs: Reckless. I created the artwork to capture the romantic, rural, and contemporary atmosphere of the story, using illustration to communicate its themes and mood.

The design combines illustrated elements with typography, creating a visual composition that feels both expressive and connected to the story. I also developed the artwork across the spine, allowing elements of the illustration to continue beyond the front cover and create a cohesive design when displayed on a bookshelf.
